VISION STATEMENT
Habakkuk 2:2 then the Lord answered me, and said:
"write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it."
Something has changed within me. Something is not the same. I'm through
playing by the rules of someone else's game. These words resonate in my heart today.
It's time that I trust in what God has placed in me. It's time to invest in me.
Many years ago my pastor told me that I walked a line that many pastors
would like to walk, but they just couldn't bring themselves to get out on the line.
I finally realized that I am a square peg that has been trying to fit into a round
hole of religion. I have sought out the approval from local religious leaders,
of which I really didn't need, and no longer want.
I will live my life for the audience of one, the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
The one who placed the desire within my heart to preach the gospel...
the one who counts me worthy. I will preach the gospel again. Today,
I acknowledge the change within me. I realize that I am not the same.
I will no longer play by the religious rules of someone else's religious game.
I will live outside the box of religion. I will however seek a strong relationship
with Jesus Christ. I will light my lamp and place it high on the lamp stand
and protect it from being put out by religion. I will live as the Saints
of old looking for my new homeland.
Today, I will leave the past in the past and those who choose to dwell there.
I will choose to press towards the upward call of Christ. I will study to find myself
approved in the Scriptures. I will rightly divide the word of truth. I will discipline my
body and bring every thought into captivity for Christ. I will see every day as
an opportunity to grow in Christ and impact the world for the kingdom of God.
I will do my best to prepare the Way of the Lord. I will stand on the mountaintop
as a watchman and warn of the devastation to come to those who choose to resist Christ.
I will preach of the love of Christ and his saving grace for those who choose to receive it.
I will develop ShopTalk in God‘s Word as an online ministry to teach and preach
the gospel of Jesus Christ… A conduit for the word of God. Shoptalk in God‘s word
will also assist the community where applicable and resources allow. I will make the
most of the time that God has given me. All of this will take place with the endorsement,
the approval, and the power of the Holy Spirit
